Hero

I have always felt a very special connection with music.
I used to take piano lessons when I was a kid. And I love to sing.
At solfeggio, the teacher always let me go home first, because my beat time was great (where is that skill now?!) and I read notes with ease.
If I can go back in time and re-live my life, the only thing I would change would be those piano lessons. I would have kept playing the piano and practiced. Practiced and persisted. Persisted and perfected.

Sometimes when a song touches the strings of my core, when it speaks to my very soul, I get chills all over my body. Time stops. My heart opens up wider and I feel one. With all. I am home.

"Hero" could very well be the soundtrack of my life right now. Now and always. That yearning for freedom, the fierce search for meaning, the painful metamorphose into the best possible you, the surrendering...
Again and again.
Because change is the only constant.
And heart is where the home is.
